South Africa

Back to 'What we do'

We arrive in Cape Town, one of the world's most impressive cities. We immediately head for the foot of the majestic Table Mountain...

We organise an exclusive champagne reception for the group at a height of 1,085 metres.

From the top, we're enjoying the phenomenal view.

Our hotel is situated in the famous Waterfront area...

A luxurious five-star hotel with fabulous ocean views.

We embark from the hotel's private harbour on a sunset cruise in the bay of Cape Town.

Bobbing gently up and down, with a glass of champagne in hand, we watch the beautiful sunset...

The next day we make our way to the Cape of Good Hope nature park, the most South-Westerly point of the African continent.

During our tour of the Cape Point, we enjoy a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the ocean.

Where we meet a colony of thousands of penguins which have made their home on the snowy-white beach. We take a delightful kayaking trip between the penguins.

Off the coast lies Robben Island, where many political prisoners were held during the Apartheid. Nelson Mandela was behind bars here for 18 of his 27 years in prison!

We're given an exclusive tour of the former prison...

... by an ex-political prisoner who spent many years on Robben Island himself. A respectful silence greets his personal testimony.

In the evening we head for a typical African restaurant, where the waiters treat us to live African music and ambience after the meal.

We also explore the Cape wine countries. South-African wine has no secrets from us any more following a tasting in the cellar of a renowned Wine Estate in Franschoek.

We also make a stop in picturesque Stellenbosch, where the souvenir hunters indulge themselves in "Uncle Samie's Shop".

A typical Flemish dinner of mussels and chips in the Den Anker restaurant - the oldest Belgian restaurant in Cape Town - naturally deserves a place on the programme.

Say the word "Africa" and immediately people think "safari". We go on a jeep safari in search of the African wildlife...

We've already found one of the Big Five...

Four more to go!

"Cheers"!

Before leaving Cape Town we have a great time visiting a local school in one of the townships. The headmaster bids us a hearty welcome in fruity Afrikaans.

The schoolchildren sing the national anthem of South Africa specially for our group, to say goodbye. It really brings out the goosebumps...

We spend our last evening in style : we're picked up from our hotel in stretch limousines.

Our gala restaurant is listed among the top-20 best restaurants worldwide. Extraordinary conviviality and fantastic wines : a finish to our journey to die for!

An African gospel choir tops it off with breathtaking singing, "Until next time, South Africa, and thanks for the wonderful time we've had!"
