History
- "Father" Gerard De Buck founded the De Buck coach company in 1953.
- The travel agency De Buck Travel in Ghent was launched in the seventies.
- In 1991 current general manager Frank Bouckaert joined the company and became managing partner.
- With his marketing and sales experience with Mars Inc. he introduced the concept of incentive travel.
- This perfectly matched the quality strategy of De Buck.
- The first incentive projects were by motor coach. Destinations like Paris and the Champagne region in France were very popular.
- These projects, in combination with the expertise accumulated by the travel agency, soon resulted in long-distance incentives as well.
- Initially De Buck worked through tour operators, but it soon became aware of the value of building a strong network of destination management companies (no more intermediaries).
- All this resulted in growth ... purely driven by quality
- In 2002 stockholder Jan Dierickx joined the operational team as co-managing partner.
- Success came solely because satisfied customers were spreading the good news.
- De Buck is your compass for the world, from Aruba to Zimbabwe and everywhere in between.
